Local Teen Causes Minor Disturbance, Immediately Assumed To Be From Wexford

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC — Witnesses confirmed Friday that after a group of teenagers were spotted weaving through traffic on electric bicycles near Coligny Plaza, nearby adults quickly concluded the ringleader was “probably some kid from Wexford.”
“I didn’t catch his name, but the way he nearly clipped my bumper before popping a wheelie — that’s classic Wexford,” said Bluffton resident Paul Jenkins, shaking his head. “Nobody else on this island has that kind of confidence mixed with entitlement.”
The teen, described as wearing a Vineyard Vines quarter zip and holding a Starbucks refresher, allegedly shouted “my dad pays more in dues than your house is worth” before disappearing toward Pope Avenue.
While no one could verify the youth’s actual address, locals agreed Wexford was the most likely origin. “Sea Pines kids would’ve at least stopped at the stop sign,” said bystander Carol Middleton. “And Long Cove kids don’t even leave the gate.”
Town officials confirmed they are considering adding a new line to the town’s juvenile incident reports: Suspected Wexford Affiliation.
At press time, the same teen was reportedly overheard telling friends his “backup boat” was parked at Harbour Town.
